Standard 11 Surface Mining Induction

he Standard 11 Induction (Generic Induction) program equips resource workers with core risk assessment and safety skills required to operate safely on mine sites.

The Standard 11 Induction covers workers’ health and safety requirements to be inducted onto Queensland Surface Coal and Metalliferous mining sites. The course meets all the requirements for Recognised Standard 11 training set by the Queensland Mining Safety Inspectorate. It includes the 6 nationally recognised units of competency required to meet the training needs of Standard 11 for induction.

The course includes the following Nationally Accredited units:

RIIWHS201E – Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
Access and apply site safety procedures

RIIERR205D – Apply initial response first aid
Assess the situation, apply basic first aid and complete incident reports

RIIGOV201E – Comply with site work processes/procedures
Access and apply site safety procedures, apply personal safety measures, maintain personal well-being, and complete site-related forms and reports

RIIRIS201E – Conduct local risk control
Hazard identification, risk assessment and control in a mine environment

RIICOM201E – Communicate in the workplace
Identify, access and use site communication equipment and systems, carry out work-related communication, and complete written documentation

RIIERR302E – Respond to local emergencies and incidents

Prepare and respond to emergencies in a mine environment

This 3-day course is completed face-to-face regularly at our South Gladstone Training Centre and throughout Qld as required.
